How Kechara Soup Kitchen moved manual leave and claims off paper for all 30 staff, and put the time it freed back into feeding people.
For eighteen years, KSK has worked on food insecurity: serving the homeless, the urban and rural poor, and Orang Asli communities. That work grew into three arms (Soup Kitchen, Food Bank and Empowerment Centre) spread across five hubs in KL, Penang, Perak, Pahang and Melaka. Manual leave and claims paperwork had to travel between those locations to be approved and filed: admin time a 30-person non-profit could not afford to spend twice.
For the team: leave and claims are submitted and approved in one place across all five hubs, with brioHR alongside the ERP and task tools as a streamlined backend rather than another silo.
For the mission: the time and resources freed up go back into programmes: expanding support for Orang Asli communities nationwide, growing the food collected and distributed, and reaching more of the 60,000-plus people Kechara benefits each month, directly or through their 250 charity partners.
“With brioHR, there's no technical hurdle, so our whole team can run it with confidence. It gives us back the time and energy to focus on what matters: reaching more communities and tackling food insecurity and community welfare across Malaysia.”
